AI assistants

An assistant in your app that knows your business.

Mousepad can add a chat assistant that answers questions from your app's own information, like your services, your hours, and a customer's bookings. Ask for voice, and people can talk to it.

How it works

  1. Ask for itSay what the assistant should help with and what it should leave alone. Mousepad builds it into your app, along with the Cloud it runs on.
  2. Try it, then change itAsk it questions in the preview, as a customer and as staff, then ask Mousepad to change its tone, its answers, or what it can look up.
  3. Publish itIt goes live with your site, on the pages you chose.

How the assistant works

It runs on your app's server, looks things up through your app, and only sees what the person asking is allowed to see.

    Included

It looks things up in your app, like your services, your open times, or a customer's bookings, when it answers.

  • Only what that person may see

    Included

Lookups run with the signed-in person's own permissions, so customers can only ask about their own records.

Questions

What can the assistant answer?

What your app knows and what you tell Mousepad it should cover: your services, hours, and prices, and, for someone signed in, their own bookings or orders. Ask Mousepad to keep it to topics about your business.

Can people talk to it?

Yes, if you ask for voice. People press a button to talk, hear a short spoken reply, and see the words on screen. Voice is in English for now, in browsers that allow the microphone, and typing always works.

Where does the voice go?

Speech goes from the browser straight to Amazon Transcribe over a one-time link, and replies are spoken by Amazon Polly. The audio doesn't pass through your app's server.

Can it answer patients' health questions?

No. Use it for questions about your business, products and services.

Tell Mousepad what it should help with, and try it in the preview before anyone else does.
