What's new in Mousepad, newest first.

1. October 8, 2026 **Referrals for every account** Every Mousepad account now has a referral link, under Invite friends in the studio. When someone new joins with it and finishes their first build, you each get 50 credits. If they upgrade, their first month of Plus is free, and you get 200 more when their first paid invoice clears.
2. October 6, 2026 **Try your app as each kind of user** When your app has sign-in, Mousepad makes a sample account for each kind of user, like an owner, a staff member, and a customer. Use Sign in as… in the preview to switch between them, and remove them from Cloud → Users when you're done.
3. October 6, 2026 **Publish status and build video music** Each app on your dashboard shows a dot for where publishing stands: green when it's live, yellow while it's publishing, red if it failed, and gray if it's never been published. Build videos now have music, picked to match the feel of your app.
4. October 6, 2026 **A quick welcome, with videos** Sign up from an idea and Mousepad keeps it. A short welcome shows how it works, then Build my app carries straight on to building. You can tell us your type of business in the welcome, so the ideas you see fit it. Short videos show each step happening in the real builder, in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
5. October 6, 2026 **Mousepad in four languages** Choose English, Español, 简体中文, or 繁體中文 from the language menu. Your choice is saved to your account and follows you to every device. Mousepad for Restaurants, Salons, and Gyms & Studios, along with Mousepad 中文版 and Mousepad en español, all carry the Mousepad name now. The studio has moved to studio.mousepad.app. Sign in again there and your apps carry over.
6. October 6, 2026 **Plans, credits, and site types** Choose Free, Plus ($25/month), or Pro ($100/month), or pay yearly for 20% off. Credits cover building and changes: free credits every month on Free, 250 a month on Plus, and 1,250 on Pro, with extra credit packs on paid plans. Pick Basic, Standard, or Enterprise when you first publish a site, and see its usage in the Publish dialog. Custom domains, and hiding the “Built with Mousepad” badge, come with Plus and Pro. Plan changes, including a switch to yearly, are billed right away instead of waiting for the next renewal.
7. October 6, 2026 **Referral program** Plus and Pro workspace owners get a referral link on their workspace page. Anyone new who joins with it gets their first month of Plus free, and you get 200 credits when they start paying.
8. October 6, 2026 **Background publishing and an earlier preview** Publishing now runs in the background. Your first publish gets a congratulations screen, and you can close it and keep working. If a publish fails, Mousepad says why, and you can ask the agent to fix a failed build in one click. During a first build, the preview switches to your real home page as soon as it appears, with progress in a strip at the bottom.
9. October 5, 2026 **Mousepad gets its own home** Mousepad opens at mousepad.app, a builder for small businesses in any industry. Previews of your work in progress now open on mousepads.app, a separate address kept apart from your Mousepad account.
10. October 4, 2026 **Growth workspace** Sites on Pro get a Growth workspace. Save a short brief about your business, then run reviews for site care, discoverability, conversion, or marketing. Turn a review into a site draft, check it in Preview, and publish when you're ready. Growth never publishes on its own. Reviews can run daily or weekly, and each run uses credits.
11. October 4, 2026 **A celebration for your first build** Your first build ends with a celebration and a 14-second build video: your idea, the build, and the finished app. Download or share the video, or open it again later from Build video in the studio menu. First builds now make images for your business first, and the preview shows them while the rest is built.
